چکیده

The level statistics of the spherical mean-Þeld plus pairing model is investigated based on the exact solutions obtained from the extended Heine-Stieltjes correspondence. It is shown that the level statistics for Ca and Ca calculated from the model with single-particle energies and a pairing strength extracted from experimental data indeed exhibits a chaotic behavior within the phase transitional region, while most isotopes display regular spectra.

Exact boson mapping of the nuclear pairing Hamiltonian

An exact boson mapping of the deformed mean-field plus equal strength pairing Hamiltonian is considered. In the mapping, fermion pair operators are mapped exactly to the corresponding bosons. The mapping occurs at the level of the Richardson–Gaudin equations. The image of the mapping results is a Bose–Hubbard model with level-dependent hopping. Although the resultant Bose–Hubbard Hamiltonian is...

A pr 1 99 8 Thermodynamical properties of a mean - field plus pairing model and applications for the Fe nuclei

A mean-field plus pairing model for atomic nuclei in the Fe region was studied using a finite-temperature quantum Monte-Carlo method. We present results for thermodynamical quantities such as the internal energy and the specific heat. These results give indications of a phase transition related to the pairing amongst nucleons, around temperatures of 0.7 MeV. The influence of the residual intera...

Regression Modeling for Spherical Data via Non-parametric and Least Square Methods

Introduction Statistical analysis of the data on the Earth's surface was a favorite subject among many researchers. Such data can be related to animal's migration from a region to another position. Then, statistical modeling of their paths helps biological researchers to predict their movements and estimate the areas that are most likely to constitute the presence of the animals. From a geome...

Pairing Gaps from Nuclear Mean–Field Models

We discuss the pairing gap, a measure for nuclear pairing correlations, in chains of spherical, semi–magic nuclei in the framework of self–consistent nuclear mean–field models. The equations for the conventional BCS model and the approximate projection–before–variation Lipkin–Nogami method are formulated in terms of local density functionals for the effective interaction. We calculate the Lipki...
